An Introduction to Nutrition & Supplements

The majority of people are either out of shape, undernourished, sleep deprived, or overstressed to the point of disease and, as a result, suffer from poor immunity. Poor immunity is the basis of more frequent or severe herpes breakouts, colds, and other infections.

Since the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, just about everyone is interested in what it takes to maintain a healthy immune system (or should). Although many think an extra glass of orange juice in the morning, upping vitamin dosages, and getting more rest are good ways to go about it, there's much more to consider when you've done all you can and still feel symptomatic.

We all feel symptomatic from time to time. Life happens, but most people bounce back fairly quickly. Anything you can do to manage stress will help to bolster your immunity. However, when stress is ongoing, or you've been experiencing symptoms for some time with no relief or only intermittent relief, basic stress-management techniques may not be enough.

Suppose you're not bouncing back, especially after seeing your doctor or therapist and ruling out apparent causes for your symptoms (and being told to go home and relax). In that case, it's a sign that your body is struggling under a toxic load of stress.

Understanding the functioning of your immune system, its vulnerabilities (conditions you live with), and its requirements for optimal performance is the first step towards nurturing your immunity.

Diseases are on the rise, especially autoimmune diseases. While eating a genetically appropriate nutrition is essential for health and happiness, but your immune system, which lives almost entirely in your gut, will never be optimized if your gut doesn't work to absorb necessary nutrients and eliminate toxins from your body through you "poo".

But it goes even deeper than that. Your gut can't work properly if you have mitochondrial dysfunction; lack of cellular energy, which is why I teach you how to increase your mitochondrial energy from the inside out and attend gut issues (and a few hormonal ones).
